About Autoloss
Autoloss is an independent vehicle-appraisal company founded in 1996. We prepare diminished-value, total-loss and specialty vehicle appraisals for vehicle owners and attorneys across the United States. The company is based in Oregon, owned by Appraisal Group of America, and serves clients in every state. Most clients never need to visit, and you are welcome to come to our office if need be.

Our position
Independent, and on the owner’s side
Insurers hire their own appraisers and valuation vendors. Autoloss works for the vehicle owner, or for the owner’s attorney, and prepares an independent valuation supported by comparable vehicles rather than price-guide figures alone.
Autoloss is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. We do not act as a public adjuster. We prepare appraisals and explain how they were prepared.
How we work now
The same service in every state
Autoloss once relied on a network of contacts who could inspect vehicles in person. Today our appraisers prepare every report from the repair order, along with the photographs and documents clients send and current market data. That is why the same service is available in every state. You are still welcome to come to our office if need be.

Autoloss has provided appraisal services in matters involving government agencies, financial institutions, insurers, attorneys, and automotive finance companies. These have included: FBI, DEA, U.S. Department of Justice, GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, State of Florida, Honda Finance, Acura Finance, Toyota Finance, State Farm, Progressive, Gallagher Bassett, Sedgwick.
Autoloss has completed more than 30,000 diminished-value claims since 1996.
