This policy explains what information Autoloss collects through autoloss.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: request@autoloss.com or (877) 655-1661.
Information you give us
When you submit the claim-review form, call, or email us, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, state, vehicle details, information about an accident or insurance claim, and photographs or documents such as repair invoices and insurer valuation reports.
How we use it
- To review your request, contact you, and prepare any appraisal you order.
- To answer an insurer’s questions about a report we prepared for you, when you ask us to.
- To keep business records, including records supporting our reports.
- To protect our website and our clients from spam and fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies’ marketing.
Uploaded photos and documents
Files you upload through the form are stored privately with our hosting provider only long enough to deliver them to our inbox, and are deleted from that storage once delivered. After that, we keep them with your claim records.
Service providers
We use service providers to run this website and deliver messages: website hosting and file storage (Vercel), email delivery (Mailgun), website analytics (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and advertising measurement (Google Ads). They process information on our behalf.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them to measure how the site is used and where our visitors come from. We do not use them to identify you by name unless you send us the form.
- Lead source (our own cookie,
al_src, 90 days). Records how you first reached the site and how you came back: the website or search engine that sent you, ad campaign tags in the link, the first page you saw, and how many pages you viewed. If you submit the claim-review form, this is sent with your request so we know which advertising and pages work. - Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*, up to 2 years). Counts visits and page views and shows how visitors move through the site. - Google Ads (
_gcl_*, about 90 days). Tells us when a visit that started with a click on one of our Google ads leads to a call or a claim-review request. - Microsoft Clarity (
_clck,_clsk, up to 1 year). Shows how pages are used, including heatmaps and recordings of clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can fix confusing pages.
When you submit the form we also receive technical details that every website request carries: your IP address, the approximate location it points to, and your browser and device type. We use them to understand our audience and to stop spam.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on and manage ad personalization at Google’s ad settings.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep. Contact us using the details above. Residents of some states have additional rights under state privacy laws; we will respond to verified requests as those laws require.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and private file storage, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
