  • I was a little leery of paying an appraiser to appraise a car that was only worth $13-14000. After a quick phone conversation, Appraisal Group of America told me they thought it would be worth the fee and I believed them. As it turned out, the insurance company paid an additional amount equal to 3 times the appraisal fee. In addition, Appraisal Group of America was very responsive in getting the insurance company everything they needed to issue the check. It was well worth the cost.

  • My fiancée's one year old Toyota Corolla was totaled by another driver who ran a red light while talking on a cell phone. Appraisal Group of America helped us settle the Total Loss claim with our insurance company for $4,100 more than the initial claim payout. Excellent service was provided every step of the way!
    Thanks again!

  • Due to Appraisal Group of America I got almost $6,000 more then I was offered 1 week earlier on my 1980 Jeep. I was amazed. I will tell everyone about your company. Appraisal Group of America is amazing.
    Thank you so much,

  • I initially heard about Diminished Value from a friend and several months after my accident I prompted my insurance company to issue a Diminished Value check. They said they would get right on it and a week or so later I received a check in the mail for $1500. Initially I was happy but then became skeptical wondering if this was truly enough for my 2006 Maxima. I started my research online and found a few websites to help me calculate the actual DV of the car. After contacting several I spoke to Monica at Auto Loss and she literally "WOWED" me with her knowledge and courteous customer service. Still initially skeptical, she had me sold and literally within minutes she had sent me all the information needed to take back to my insurance company. After a few weeks of negotiations with the insurance company I was issued a check for $4500. Needless to say, working with AutoLoss was one of the best investments I have ever made.
    Thank you so much!
    Mack - Nissan owner

  • Hello Monica,
I have great news, I think we're done. State Farms appraiser came in within $200 of your number. So State Farm split the difference and has cut a check. All total $3000 more than their original amount. That hit the mark as to what we originally thought the value should be.
Thanks, we really appreciate the help you provided.
Mike Edwards - Georgia auto appraisal client

  • Terry,
Thank you for your efforts in producing a successful outcome on my claim. You were very professional in your dealings with all parties concerned and, at times, went beyond what normally is expected in order to bring my claim to a successful conclusion.
We will not hesitate to recommend you and your company whenever we see a need for your services.
    Regards,
    Thanks so much,

  • Dear Terry Fisher,
In October 2006, being unable to agree with my Major Insurance Company's total loss value of my 2004 GMC Sierra. The next step was to hire an independent appraiser to work with the insurance company. I found Appraisal Group of America on the web site www.autoloss.com. After confirming their legitimacy with the Oregon Department of Commerce, I took a chance and hired them. The professionalism was excellent. They kept me updated and after a few weeks I received a check for an additional check for $3,903. THANK YOU Terry. I would NOT HAVE received this extra money if I would have accepted their initial offer. I recommend the Appraisal Group of America to anyone who has received an unfair offer from their auto insurance company.

  • I want to thank you for the excellent service you provided in assisting me with my insurance claim for my l987 classic Mercedes 560 SL sports car. My home and car were totally destroyed when hurricane Ivan hit Pensacola. I was in tears when the automobile insurance adjuster offered me only $6,000 for a car for which I had paid $18,000. I was further stressed when the adjuster advised that I had no recourse but to go to arbitration and then be prepared to pay additional costs for the proceedings as well as the arbitrator.

In desperation I turned to the Internet and located your site. It was a site from heaven! You not only settled my claim for $10,000, but you also relieved me of the cumbersome negotiation with the adjuster and the related stress. The latter alone was worth the cost of service! I would highly recommend your firm to anyone who is in need of similar services. If they need to talk to me personally, I authorize you to release my phone number to them. Please keep up the good work. I cannot express how important it is to have firms such as yours available to assist the "little guy" in coping with "giants'" such as insurance companies.
    Very truly yours,
    Sandra VanderHeyden - Florida

  • I called Appraisal Group of America after I had spoke with my adjuster repeatedly about diminished value on my 2005 Mercedes Benz in Texas. The adjuster at Allstate stated he had never heard of diminished value and once I pressed him further he stated that Allstate did not pay diminished value.  After spending my valuable time talking to the adjuster for 2 more weeks I finally called Appraisal Group of America desperate for help.  They filed a claim for diminished value within 48 hours and within 2 weeks I received my diminished value check from Allstate for $10,900.
    Thanks so much,
    Joy Schmidt - Dallas, Texas

  • Appraisal Group of America helped get me a check for almost $10,000 within a week of retaining Appraisal Group of America. The appraiser helped me along the way and was courteous and pleasurable to deal with. I highly recommend them to everyone that needs an appraiser.

  • I had just been in a wreck and USAA wanted to fix my 2004 Toyota Camry although the initial repair order stated the car had at least $10,000 damage.  I begged my adjuster to total my car and they refused to. I told them that due to diminished value I could not sell my newer car as a certified used vehicle as well as Toyota dealerships could not sell my car on their lot.  USAA still refused to total my car. Additionally, they were threatening to take away my rental car and start charging me storage fees for my wrecked Toyota. I called Appraisal Group of America and they conducted a diminished value appraisal including inspecting my vehicle where I live here in Florida.  Once USAA received the diminished value appraisal they totaled my car that week. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
God Bless and thanks for the help.
    John Smith - Miami, Florida

  • Thanks for the help getting the $8,120. We never would have received a penny without your help.

  • In July 2000, my wife was in her automobile in Oregon when she was rear-ended in an accident which resulted in a $ 15,000 repair cost. This damage severely reduced the then market value of the car. As a result of his efforts, we received a settlement for diminished value in the amount of $9,000. With this kind of result and his experience in these matters, I would certainly recommend his services to anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation.
Frederick W. Greb - Portland, Oregon

  • In October 2005 I was in a collision in California that was not my fault.  Once the car was fixed I asked Allstate about diminished value on my 2004 BMW.  After two months they offered me $3,090 for diminished value. I was so upset. I spoke with numerous dealers in my area and all of them stated my car was diminished by at least $16,0000. I called Appraisal Group of America and within 3 weeks they had conducted the appraisal inspection, and had negotiated a diminished value check for me for $15,900. Terry Fisher knew the adjuster at Allstate and knew exactly how to get me the right amount for diminished value.  Thanks so much I will tell all my friends about you.
Robert Dupea - Santa Clara, California

  • In October of 2005 my Toyota Solora was totaled.  Progressive only offered me $13,000 and after negotiating with Progressive for 3 days I called Appraisal Group of America. They completed the appraisal and negotiated my claim and within 2 weeks I received a check from Progressive for $18,090.
    Thanks,
    Mary Kiperman - Houston, Texas

  • I was rear ended in September 2005 and Farmers insurance company only offered me $1,000 for diminished value on my 2001 Cadillac Escalade. I was planning on selling the car before the wreck and after the car was fixed I tried to trade in the car and the dealers only offered me half of what the vehicle was worth before the wreck. I got on the internet and found Appraisal Group of America trying to find out more information about diminished value laws in Washington.  I spoke with Monica Fisher and within two weeks I received a check for $9,500 for diminished value due to the appraisal and negotiations of Appraisal Group of America.  It was the best $300 I ever spent.
    Thanks,
    Sharon White - Seattle, Washington

  • Having an advocate in a situation when I thought I had none was a great mental relief.

  • This morning I heard Clark Howard, a nationally syndicated consumer advocate and talk show host, explain diminished value and the reaction of insurance industry. He explained that it was a "dark secret" and that the insurance industry was doing everything it could not to tell the public about their rights concerning diminished value. That reminded me that I needed to thank you for all your help. I really felt "used" when my insurance company offered me $300 for the decreased value of my sports car. If the damage had been $1000 more, they would have totaled my car! You and the team at the AGA did a great job! The settlement of $3,300 made me feel that I was finally compensated properly from the accident. More important to me than the money, was the fact that you forced the insurance company to be honest about the damage. I tried, but could not. You came to my rescue; many, many thanks to you and the team. I trust that this new year will be a great one for you!

  • Dear Terry & Monica:
I would like to thank you for the fine job you did in settling my claim with State Farm Insurance. The settlement of $10,000 was in the ballpark of what I thought my vehicle was worth based upon dealer retail price. I would be happy to refer you to anyone I know who has a similar problem.
    Very truly yours,
Marshall Goldstein - New York, New York

  • Monica, we picked up our check this morning from State farm. With your assistance, we received $1,100 more than they originally offered. You were great to work with, acted very quickly and returned messages promptly. I will definitely refer you to other people I meet that may need your services.
    Sincerely,
    Duff Main - Dallas, Texas

  • I turned in my claim to State Farm and they initially turned me down for diminished value for my 2002 BMW X5 with $15,761 in repairs. After 2 months with no offer from State Farm, just the run-around, they told me to get documentation. I spoke with Appraisal Group of America and they sent me a DV appraisal that day. They faxed it over to State Farm and within two weeks, I was going to the State Farm office to get my check for $22,500. Thanks so much. It was the best $300 I have ever spent.
    Thank you so much,
    Dave Roundtree - Miami, Florida

  • I had been fighting with Progressive for four months about the value of my car. The adjuster at Progressive only offered me $1,000 for my 1995 Volkswagen Jetta with over $6,000 in upgrades. I was so tired of fighting with them and they were so unfair. I called Appraisal Group of America and they e-mailed me a rough draft of my appraisal and they itemized all my upgrades and settled the claim for $8,000 two weeks later. They did everything for me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is being treated unfairly by the insurance company.
    David Shoe - Houston, Texas

  • I called Appraisal Group of America and hired them that day. They told me they could get my car totaled from turning in a diminished value claim. I was hesitant but went for it anyway. The insurance company, State Farm, had been torturing me, giving me the run-around. I would call the adjuster many times a day and they would call me back - if I was lucky, one time a week. I had nothing to lose. The appraisal was turned in to State Farm in Texas the next day and the adjuster called that day and totaled my car. Thank God for Appraisal Group of America. I really believe they saved me $15,000 and much heartache.
    Much love in Texas,
    Jerry Linder - Dallas, Texas

  • Monica,
Well, the insurance company called and they are cutting me a check for the amount of $3716.00. That is the amount we had ask for and I could not be happier. Thank you so much for the work you did for me and I will definitely let everyone know how to go about this process and who I used to recoop what was owed me.
    Thanks,
    Diana - 2005 Kia owner
